Imparare a suonare uno strumento musicale è frutto di studio personale ed apprendimento dal proprio insegnante/fonte; ma un aspetto FONDAMENTALE è l'ascolto di musica, anche dal vivo. Ora, se da un lato genitori volenterosi ci portano i figli ad imparare uno strumento, in questo caso la chitarra, dall'altro notiamo talvolta una sconfortante mancanza di cultura di base: dal non sapere chi erano i Beatles, fino alla leggendaria :"Bach? Già sentito, ha fatto un disco da poco, vero?".
Ecco quindi una lista di album essenziali, "storici" ma dall'indiscusso valore artistico, capaci da un lato di mostrare competenze tecnico-strumentali, dall'altro di ispirare altri musicisti a nuove composizioni o allo sviluppo ulteriore delle intuizioni contenute in questi grandi dischi. Tra parentesi, il brano o i brani chitarristicamente significativi.
Certamente la lista potrebbe essere più lunga, alcuni grandi musicisti mancano, quelli citati hanno fatto anche altri capolavori meritevoli di menzione, ecc.. ma è un buon punto di partenza. Piccoli o grandi, se volete suonare la chitarra, assicuratevi di ascoltare questi grandi dischi: vi ispireranno e vi faranno amare di più il vostro strumento. E se non vi piacciono? Può capitare che ad un primo ascolto non vi convincano ma che al terzo-quarto ascolto possiate apprezzare. Oppure potreste scoprire che-magari per il periodo corrente della vostra vita-quel genere/artista proprio non vi va giù. Molto bene, avete dei gusti specifici: ascoltate altro!
